Pujolasos, specialist firm in the development and manufacturing of wooden caps for perfumery, cosmetics and alcoholic beverages, has acquired this first semester of 2018 facilities of 2,000m2 annexed to the current plant in Sant Pere de Torelló. With this purchase, the company incorporates two new buildings and a warehouse for the management and storage of the wood and its dryers.
The acquisition will allow the company to advance its strategic expansion plan and meet the demand of the coming years, increase the capacity of internal management of wood, guarantee capital and supply to its customers. With this expansion, the firm reaches a total of 18,500 m2 of area exclusively dedicated to the design and manufacture of wooden caps for beauty and spirits.
One of the particularities of this purchase is the use of biomass as energy for the operation of artificial dryers, a material that Pujolasos uses in other plants. This allows the company to move forward with its sustainability plan, which promotes the use of sustainable raw materials and implements development processes that respect the environment.
The investment will allow the firm Sant Pere de Torelló (Barcelona) to increase its internal self-management of timber and execute international expansion plans for the next five years. In addition, to meeting customer demand for the next few years, and increasing the capacity management capacity.
